TOWN COUNCIL
Name
Description

Gregg Dotson
I’m currently serving my first term on the North Beach Town Council. I’ve spend the past 27 years employed by the federal government, 22 of those years serving honorably in the Air Force until retirement in August 2001. I currently work at the Pentagon a Senior Protocol Officer for the Secretary of the Army and Chief of Staff of the Army.

I serve as Council Liaison to the North Beach Special Events Committee and represent the North Beach Town Council by participating in the Southern Maryland Municipal Association, on the Board of Directors of the Maryland Municipal League (MML) and as a member of the MML Convention Planning Committee. I also serve as Second Vice President on the Beach Trolley Association Board of Trustees.

My wife and I believe North Beach is the best place in America to live and I'm committed as a Councilman to sound and conservative fiscal responsibility, accountability to the taxpayers, and curbing wasteful spending; preserving this beautiful place we call “home.”

Jane Hagen
I have lived in North Beach since 1999. My now deceased husband was in the U.S. Naval Submarine Force, consequently we moved many times, 23 to be exact. I have 4 grown children and 1 grandchild who live in Connecticut, Florida, Virginia and California so North Beach is easy access to all of them. I work as a Sales and Marketing Assistant for a local builder and am active in my church having served as a Warden for 5 years. I am a member of the North Beach Home and Garden Club, and until my election to the Town Council was a member of the Historic Preservation Commission and was the founding vice-chair of the Bayside History Museum.

I'm proud to call North Beach my little place of heaven and I hope to keep it that way, preserving our past while preparing for our future.
Randy Hummel<br />
Randy and his wife Jennifer have lived in North Beach since 1985, raising four children here along the way. Randy is now in his fourth term on the Town Council after having previously served from 1987-1994. During Randy's second term he was elected Vice-President of Council. Randy's proudest achievements during that time were the rebuilding of the pier, expansion of the sewer system and construction of the water system. Randy's other civic interests have included serving on the Board of Directors for the Calvert County Chapter of the American Red Cross, being a charter member of Central County Ambulance Service in Clarion, Pennsylvania, and Mid-Bay Kiwanis in Chesapeake Beach. Randy's training and current employment is as a teacher. He previously was a purchasing agent for a large manufacturing company and a supervisor for a small railroad.
Andrew "Bud" Hunt
My name is Andrew Hunt but most people call me "Bud". I remember coming to North Beach as a child with my parents and wanted to raise my family in a place where I myself have so many fond memories. I have lived in North Beach with my wife for almost twenty-one years and raised three children in a town where people are honest and family is important. I have four grandchildren living near here that I hope will benefit by growing up in this wonderful community by the Chesapeake Bay.
As your representative my goals are simple, to keep North Beach affordable to the average family, and the community clean and safe so we can all sleep at night.
Gwen Schiada
I am currently serving my first term on the North Beach Town Council. Prior to being elected to the North Beach Town Council, I served on the North Beach Planning Commission and played an active role in implementing the vision for the town.

I hold a doctorate in Clinical Psychology and have more than 15 years experience working with at risk youth and parents. I currently serve as the national Vice President for a multi-media organization and work at the local, state and federal levels to help create safe and healthy communities through school, business and community education partnerships.

I am originally from the small beach community of Santa Barbara, California and when I moved to North Beach with my husband, Aric, in 2000 I was instantly at home. The peaceful way of life is reminiscent of the tranquility and beauty of what I’ve come to appreciate about a small community of residents who love where they live. I am passionate about maintaining the rare beauty and strong sense of community we cherish here in North Beach
